How Lead Unlocking Works

This page explains exactly how lead unlocking works on AdvanceCare — clearly, honestly, and without marketing spin. If you are a trader, read this carefully before purchasing any plan or credits.

What Is a Lead?

A lead is a genuine job request submitted by a customer through the AdvanceCare platform.

Each lead contains:

  • Job description and service category
  • General location (area / postcode district)
  • Budget range (where provided)
  • Timing or urgency
  • Customer contact details (hidden by default)

You can view job requests without paying, but you cannot contact the customer until the lead is unlocked.

What Does “Unlocking” Mean?

Unlocking a lead means paying to reveal the customer’s contact details so you can contact them directly.

Until a lead is unlocked:

  • Customer phone number and email are hidden
  • You cannot contact the customer
  • The customer cannot contact you

Once unlocked:

  • Full contact details are revealed immediately
  • You may contact the customer directly
  • No further fees are charged for that lead

AdvanceCare does not sit in the middle of your communication.

How Do I Unlock a Lead?

Leads are unlocked in one of the following ways, depending on your trader plan:

  • Using lead credits included in your membership
  • Paying a one‑off lead unlock fee

The cost to unlock a lead is shown before you unlock it. There are no hidden charges.

Can More Than One Trader Unlock the Same Lead?

Yes.

AdvanceCare operates a multi‑buyer lead model.

This means:

  • Multiple traders may unlock the same job request
  • Customers may be contacted by more than one trader
  • Unlocking a lead does not guarantee you will win the job

This approach:

  • Avoids unfair ranking systems
  • Prevents lead hoarding
  • Keeps pricing transparent

What Unlocking a Lead Does Not Mean

It is important to be clear about what unlocking does not provide:

  • It does not guarantee the job
  • It does not reserve the customer for you
  • It does not prevent other traders from unlocking
  • It does not include payment handling

You are paying for access to a genuine opportunity, not a guaranteed outcome.

Why AdvanceCare Uses Lead Unlocking

Most platforms in the industry either:

  • Charge high monthly subscriptions regardless of work, or
  • Take commission from completed jobs

AdvanceCare does neither.

Lead unlocking ensures:

  • Traders only pay when they choose
  • Customers are not spammed
  • AdvanceCare does not interfere with pricing or negotiations

This keeps the platform fair, sustainable, and aligned with real‑world trading.

Refunds & Disputes

Lead unlock fees are generally non‑refundable.

This is because:

  • The service (access to contact details) is delivered immediately
  • AdvanceCare cannot control customer decisions or outcomes

However, in limited cases — such as duplicate leads, clearly fraudulent requests, or platform error — refunds or credits may be issued at AdvanceCare’s discretion.

All decisions are final.

Your Responsibility as a Trader

By unlocking a lead, you confirm that:

  • The job matches your trade and services
  • You hold all required UK licences, certifications, and insurance
  • You understand the lead unlocking model

AdvanceCare is a marketplace, not an employer or agent.

In Summary

  • Viewing leads is free
  • Unlocking reveals contact details
  • Multiple traders may unlock the same lead
  • No commission is taken
  • No job is guaranteed

If you prefer guaranteed work or exclusivity, AdvanceCare may not be suitable for you.
